The MK4 Supra is famous for its straight-line speed, and a motor kit for the Technic model has to deliver enough low-end push to get the car moving without stalling. The motor mounts into the chassis where the real drivetrain would sit, so the weight stays low and the car hooks up instead of spinning. That is the difference between a Supra that launches and one that just makes noise.
The 42204 set already has working steering, and a good conversion keeps it that way, with a servo or steering motor that turns the front wheels without fighting the suspension. The car should carve a clean arc on a hard floor rather than twitching or over-rotating. AFOLs who have driven a converted Supra will tell you the steering feel is the first thing they judge.
The temptation with motor kits is to chase top speed and ruin the model, but the Supra is more fun at a pace it can actually hold through a turn. The kit balances output against control so the car is quick without becoming undriveable, which keeps the experience fun for more than one straight-line pass. Speed is easy; useful speed is not.
The ZENE Bricks PF kit is designed around the existing Technic frame, so the motors and receiver slot into the spaces the set already provides, and the instructions walk you through each step with diagrams rather than assumptions. The conversion does not require rewiring the whole model, and the keyed connectors remove the usual guesswork. Most AFOLs finish the job the same day they start it.
There is a particular thrill in watching Brian's Supra move under its own power, and it is a thrill that a static shelf piece cannot touch. For LEGO fans who grew up quoting the first Fast & Furious, the PF kit turns a tribute into a working car. It is the closest thing to the movie short of an actual orange Supra in the garage.
The Supra is heavy for its size, so it rewards a short warm-up and a clean, hard floor over a long run on carpet. Full-speed passes drain the pack quickly, while mixed driving stretches the run time and is far more fun to watch. Charge fully before the first drive and the car will hold its pace for the whole session instead of fading halfway through.

Brian's orange Toyota Supra MK4 from the first Fast & Furious film is one of the most copied cars in movie history, and LEGO's 810-piece Technic version gives it a proper mechanical treatment: detailed bodywork, working steering and a chassis that looks like it could handle a real launch. The set is a showpiece on its own, but the car was never meant to sit still, which is where a Power Functions kit changes everything.
Motorizing the Supra is about torque and control. The model is big enough to carry a motor cleanly, and the Technic drivetrain is designed to accept one, so the conversion is more natural than most AFOLs expect. The point is a Supra that rolls like the hero car it is, with smooth acceleration and a remote that feels connected to the wheels.
